Seminars this week

Both the Water Seminar Series and the Geography General Seminar Series will be hosting events this week. The Geography General Series location has been changed to Hardin Hall 901 for this week only.

SNR’s Water Seminar Series continues on Wednesday Jan. 30 at 3:30 p.m. in the Hardin Hall first floor auditorium.

Dr. Kate Berry, of University of Nevada, Reno, will discuss “Participatory Water Governance: Experiences and Issues from Around the World.”

Dr. Berry’s research interests include human-environment interactions, water policy, and the various considerations surrounding water conflicts. She is the former president of the Association of Pacific Coast Geographers.

The Geography General Seminar Series continues on Friday, Feb. 1 at 2:00 p.m.

Nathan Watermeier will discuss "The Nebraska Geographic Information Systems Council." Watermeier is the GIS manager at the Office of the Nebraska Chief Information Officer.

The location of this week’s event will be Hardin Hall 901.
