NDMC, SNR faculty to discuss drought risk management

Michael Hayes, Mark Svoboda, Cody Knutson, Tsegaye Tadesse, and Brian Fuchs from the National Drought Mitigation Center and the School of Natural Resources will present "From Lewellen to Delhi: Drought Risk Management for the World," at 3:30 p.m., Oct. 2 in the Hardin Hall auditorium.

The National Drought Mitigation Center (NDMC) was established in 1995 around the drought risk management program built by Don Wilhite. The mission of the NDMC
is to reduce societal vulnerability to drought by promoting planning and the adoption of appropriate risk management techniques.

This seminar presentation will be made by several NDMC faculty who will highlight the wide variety of research and outreach activities taking place at the Center.
