Over 3,200 students attend Husker Dialogues

Incoming students listened to peers share diverse personal experiences focused on topics like purpose, resilience, mental health and inclusion at Husker Dialogues on Sept. 5. Instructors interested in accessing a list of participants for course credit should email Rhonda Taylor at rtaylor5@unl.edu.

After attending the event, students report that:

  • 88.51% felt the event modeled respectful ways to talk about diversity and inclusion.
  • 75.22% agree or strongly agree they are more confident discussing diversity and inclusion issues.
  • 86.35% indicated learning about diversity and inclusion is important in their university experience.

Husker Dialogues is an event designed to introduce first-year students to tools they can use to engage in meaningful conversations to help create an inclusive Husker community.
