Incoming students listened to peers share diverse personal experiences focused on topics like purpose, resilience, mental health and inclusion at Husker Dialogues on Sept. 5. Instructors interested in accessing a list of participants for course credit should email Rhonda Taylor at rtaylor5@unl.edu.
After attending the event, students report that:
- 88.51% felt the event modeled respectful ways to talk about diversity and inclusion.
- 75.22% agree or strongly agree they are more confident discussing diversity and inclusion issues.
- 86.35% indicated learning about diversity and inclusion is important in their university experience.
Husker Dialogues is an event designed to introduce first-year students to tools they can use to engage in meaningful conversations to help create an inclusive Husker community.
