Studies show that students who receive early feedback about their performance are more successful in the classroom. Through MyPLAN (located in MyUNL/Blackboard under the MyPLAN tab) you can provide feedback through flags and kudos.
You can send a flag to a student based on poor attendance, poor academic performance, or missing assignments. Your student will receive an automated email that you can tailor with specific comments. If a student receives three flags during the semester, FYE&TP staff members are notified and will follow-up with the student to provide appropriate support and resources.
You can applaud students who are excelling in your courses with a kudo for academic performance or academic participation. Students report that they enjoy receiving kudos because they appreciate being singled out for personal attention.
