First-Year Experience & Transition Programs is here to support instructors by offering academic workshops and 1-on-1 academic success coaching. Coaches are available to meet with students to help them transition to college. Students can bring their syllabi and receive information on time management and tips and tricks for navigating the expectations of college courses. Students can schedule coaching through MyPLAN. http://success.unl.edu/about#coaching
If you have a student who could use some additional academic support, make a referral through MyPLAN. Students can find learning consultants at Study Stop locations across campus. http://success.unl.edu/current#studyStop
If your students need to enhance their note taking or reading strategies, academic success workshops are available at a variety of times and locations through the fall semester. http://success.unl.edu/current/workshops
Finally, if you want to encourage your students to start off the semester on the right foot, direct them to First Six Weeks As A Husker, which provides them with a road map to success at UNL.
First-Year Experience & Transition Programs is your partner in student success.
