Through UNL's membership in the Big Ten Conference and the Committee on Institutional Cooperation, new online databases have been added to the UNL Libraries' collection.
The new resources — which include the Haithi Trust Digital Library and the Vogue Archive — are available by clicking on the "E-Resources" tab or searching at http://libraries.unl.edu.
The Hathi Trust is a growing digital library of nearly 10 million books. The site allows users to download full-text of public domain books available.
The Vogue Archive is a digital database that includes every edition of Vogue magazine from 1892 to today. The site is a pop-culture archive of more than 400,000 pages of full-text articles and image-rich material. Indexing enables users to search for images by designer, brand, garment type and material.
Other UNL Libraries additions and upgrades made available through the alignment with the Big Ten and CIC include:
Business Source Complete — This is an upgrade of Ebsco’s Business Source Premier which increases the number of full-text business journals that can be accessed, and includes company profiles and reports.
Periodicals Archive Online — The libraries will be adding sections I-V and IX to the current collection of sections VI-VIII. The addition of the remaining sections of PAO will provide the campus with access to over 500 journals or 12.5 million page images.
Additions to Web of Science — UNL Libraries now has access to the complete back file of Social Science Citation index and will be adding the rest of the Science Citation Index back to 1900.
Book Citation Index — This index adds more than 10,000 scholarly books each year. The index, incorporated into Web of Science, includes full bibliographies for books and book chapters, times cited counts for books and book chapters, and comprehensive cited reference searching. The UNL Libraries is also adding "Journal Citation reports for the Social Sciences" to complement a subscription to "Journal Citation Reports for the Sciences."
