UNL's Symphonic Band will perform at 7:30 p.m., March 15 in Kimball Hall. The "Absolute Music" concert is directed by Anthony Falcone and features faculty guest artist Paul Haar on tenor saxophone.
Tickets, available at the door one hour before the performance, are $5 general admission and $3 for students and senior citizens.
The repertoire includes "Canzona" (1951) by Peter Menin; two movements from Bob Mintzer's "Go!" (2008); Norman Dello Joio's 1968 version of Haydn's "Fantasies on a Theme"; and Symphony No. 6 for Band, Op. 69 (1956) by Vincent Persichetti.
