Some campus venues open during closure

There will be no classes and most offices will be closed at UNL during the university's annual holiday shutdown Dec. 24-Jan. 2. Several venues will be open to the public at least some of the time during that stretch, however.

Following is a list of galleries, museums and other public venues and their opening and closing schedules Dec. 24-Jan. 2. UNL offices reopen Jan. 3 and spring semester classes begin Jan. 10.

Admissions: Closed, but applications will be accepted online at http://admissions.unl.edu/apply/index.aspx. Processing of applications received during the shutdown will begin Jan. 3.

Campus Recreation Center: Open Dec. 27-30 and Jan. 2. See http://crec.unl.edu for more information, including operating hours each day. The East Campus Activities Building will be closed. The Campus Recreation Center swimming pool will be closed Dec. 18-Jan. 11 for filter system replacement.

Dairy Store: Closed. Orders placed online at http://dairystore.unl.edu will be filled beginning Jan. 3.
