The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UNL is kicking off the new academic year with an open house, 1:30 p.m. Aug. 19 at the Cornhusker Hotel, 333 S. 13th St. The group Rat Pack Jazz will play "Music from the Gold Age of Song" at 2:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
OLLI's new schedule offers a flexible schedule of noncredit courses, special events, tours and social opportunities designed for anyone over age 50. The courses, which start Sept. 5, are open to anyone who wants to continue learning.
