About 150 volunteers are needed for the Nebraska First Lego League Championship Tournament, Feb. 19 at the Strategic Air and Space Museum near Ashland. The event is organized by Nebraska 4-H, a program run by UNL Extension.

The tournament will feature nearly 60 teams of youth, ages 9 to 14, showing their science, engineering, technology and math skills in a fun, sports-like environment.

Volunteer roles - open to anyone age 14 and older - include helping with setup, judging and serving as a team escort. Volunteers receive a First Lego League shirt, lunch and admission to the museum.

The deadline to volunteer is Jan. 21. For more information, including volunteer registration forms, go to http://go.unl.edu/lego.

The tourney is open to the public. The museum is open to the public 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Feb. 19. Admission to the museum is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 4 to 12.
