Faculty, staff can help with free tax prep program

Volunteers are needed for the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program at UNL. The spring semester program is organized by International Affairs. The program offers free tax preparation assistance to UNL's international students and scholars.

The program is open to anyone. Volunteers will need to be certified and receive an official IRS VITA certificate. A training session will be offered 1 to 4 p.m., Feb. 3 in the Nebraska Union (room posted).

Tax assistance sessions (all in the Nebraska Union) are: 1 to 7 p.m., March 1 and 8, Georgian Suite; 1 to 7 p.m., March 15, 29, April 5 and 12, Colonial Room; and 1 to 5 p.m., March 22, Colonial Room.
