The University Program Council is proud to bring MOOZ-lum, a groundbreaking film examining life as a Muslim in a post 9/11 world, to UNL. A screening of the film and a discussion with director Qasim Basir will take place Wednesday, Sept. 12, at 7:30 p.m. in the Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center. Admission is free for UNL students with a valid NCard and is $5 for faculty, staff, and the public.
MOOZ-lum, which stars Danny Glover, Nia Long, Evan Ross, Roger Guenveur Smith, Summer Bishil and Dorian Missick. The coming-of-age tale of a young Muslim man going to college in September of 2001 opened theatrically in February 2011 and has received critical acclaim.
