NRI issues call for proposals

The Nebraska Research Initiative is seeking proposals for research projects with potential to encourage the state's economic development. Proposals are due by 5 p.m. Nov. 1 to the Office of Research and Economic Development.

All full-time, tenure-track University of Nebraska faculty are eligible to apply for NRI funding, but proposals must represent collaborations by faculty teams. Preference will be given to new multidisciplinary teams and collaborations among NU campuses. Focus areas include biosecurity; nanotechnology and materials science; water and environmental management; sustainable and renewable energy; molecular genetics; bioengineering; health outcomes and services; science, technology, engineering and mathematics; information systems development and management; and construction and architecture.

Proposals, with administrative approvals, must be submitted as a PDF to UNLresearch@unl.edu.
