A celebration of the 60th season of “Backyard Farmer” is 5 to 9 p.m. Sept. 27 in Hardin Hall. The event is part of UNL’s celebration of the Morrill Act’s 150th anniversary.
"Backyard Farmer" panelists will be available to answer gardening and landscaping questions and identify samples. Program clips from the “Backyard Farmer” documentary and program bloopers will be shown. Food and merchandise will be available.
A participant also will be able to win a visit from the panel to his or her own landscape.
"Backyard Farmer" first aired June 1, 1953.
