New Quilt Museum exhibition examines Colonial Revival

The International Quilt Study Center and Museum's new exhibition, "Perfecting the Past: Colonial Revival Quilts," explores a movement from 1880-1940 when Americans looked to antique objects for inspiration and used patterns from newspapers. Howe services are 2 p.m. Dec. 8

A memorial service for former chancellor's associate Herb Howe is 2 p.m. Dec. 8 at First Plymouth Congregational Church. Memorials to Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UNL, Friendship Home or the American Red Cross. Arrangements by Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home. Howe died Nov. 4.

Burkhead, Fisher put UNL over 300 Academic All-Americans

Seniors Rex Burkhead and Sean Fisher were named to the Capital One Academic All-America Division I football team. Their selection puts Nebraska as the first among all divisions across all sports to achieve 300+ Academic All-Americans -- and well ahead of other schools including Notre Dame with 227.
