UNL Campus Recreation will begin enrollment for summer sessions of Husker Kids and Husker Adventures day camps on Feb. 14 for the UNL community and past members. Open registration begins Feb. 28.
The camps, celebrating their 20th year, are open for children entering grades 2-8. There will be eight one-week sessions between June 6 and Aug. 5 (no camps July 4-8). Children may be enrolled for as many sessions as desired or as space is available. Camp days are 7:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Monday to Friday, with an extended program available until 5:35 p.m. Structured programs and activities will begin at 8:40 a.m. daily.
The 2011 camp fee for Campus Rec members is $100 per child per session. General public fee is $110 per child per session. Extended day program is an additional $10 per child per session.
All camps offer age appropriate activities with a camper-to-staff ratio of 12 to one. The camp staff is UNL professionals, certified school teachers and highly motivated college students.
