The Sheldon Friends of Chamber Music season continues Feb. 18 with the Ames Piano Quartet in the Sheldon Museum of Art's Ethel S. Abbott Auditorium. The concert begins at 8 p.m.

Lincoln native George Work returns with the Ames Piano Quartet, currently in residence at Iowa State University. The group, in its 35th year, has recorded eight albums and will soon begin work on its ninth. This is the quartet's fourth appearance with the Sheldon Friends of Chamber Music.

The quartet will perform Schumann: Piano Quartet in E Flat, Op. 47; Brahms: Piano Quartet in C, Op. 60; and Schoenfield: Carolina Reveille.

A pre-performance lecture at 7:30 p.m. will explore the concert content for the audience. A post-performance reception will include wine, food and conversation with the musicians.

Season tickets are $130 for adults and $30 for students. New season subscribers may take 50 percent off the adult subscription price. Single tickets are available for $35 for adults and $8 for students. NET Radio members with a member card get a two for the price of one discount for one event, and Lincoln Arts Council donors with a Spark card receive a $5 discount on adult admission.
