Sheldon Museum of Art will host a special reception for participants of the 2011 Lincoln PhotoFest contest to see which images take home cash prizes at 5 p.m., March 1 in the Sheldon. The reception is free and open to the public.
Lincoln PhotoFest is a community-wide celebration of photography. Exhibitions will include Sheldon's "Abstract Photography" collection. Many art galleries across Lincoln, in addition to some alternative spaces, feature work by nationally known artists, established local artists and some of the city's finest young emerging photographers.
