The UNL Confucius Institute's Chinese cooking series continues with a session on making chicken with snow peas and Crab Rangoon. The class is 5:45 to 7 p.m. March 25 in Leverton Hall, room 206. Cost is $30 and includes course materials, food samples and drinks.

Participants in previous Chinese cooking classes requested instruction on how to make Crab Rangoon and chicken with snow peas. Crab Rangoon — a combination of crab meat (or imitation crab meat), cream cheese and a crispy wonton wrapper — is a good example of how "east meets west" in food. Instruction will include how to make Crab Rangoon in triangluar and flower shapes.

Participants will get hands-on experience in preparation and tasting of the foods.

Instructors from the UNL Confucius Institute will lead the course.
