Live broadcast of Handel's 'Giulio Cesare ' is April 27

The Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center will host a live broadcast of Handel’s “Giulio Cesare" at 11 a.m. April 27. An encore performance is at noon, April 28. The performance is part of "The Met: Live in HD" series of live broadcasts from New York City's Metropolitan Opera House.

This is the final live broadcast in the 2012-2013 “Live in HD” season.

David Daniels and Natalie Dessay star in David McVicar’s innovative production of Handel’s most popular opera. Soprano Renée Fleming hosts the transmission and conducts backstage interviews with the stars.

The expected running time (which includes two intermissions) is four hours and five minutes.

Tickets are $24 general admission, $22 senior citizens, $17 for Friends of the Ross, $16 students and children, $6 Nebraska Wesleyan Students (with a valid student ID), and $5 for UNL students (with a valid NCard).
