Ronnie Green, NU vice president and Harlan Vice Chancellor for the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources, will provide brief remarks and help plant a tree. Representatives from UNL Landscape Services, ReTree Nebraska and Friends of the Maxwell Arboretum will also assist with the planting.

A short arboretum tour will follow the ceremony. Regularly scheduled tours of the arboretum are noon on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month. Learn more about the arboretum tours at http://unlgardens.unl.edu.

The tree planting ceremony and tour are open to the public. In the event of heavy rain, the event will be rescheduled to April 29. An email notification will be sent if the event is rescheduled.
