Advance-Nebraska is seeking applications to attend its third-annual writing retreat, May 16-20. Applications, available at http://advance.unl.edu, are due by May 6.
The week-long writing retreat is designed to provide space, time and support for UNL faculty in science, technology, engineering and math disciplines to finish papers or grant proposals. The retreat is in Love Library. Wireless access, unstructured writing time, breakfasts, lunches and snacks are provided.
The only time not set aside for writing is a May 17 presentation by a grant writer in the Office of Research and Economic Development. The session will focus on writing effective grant proposals.
Past participants have finished up to three papers during the retreat. The event is open to collaborators from other institutions.
