APC budget reduction hearing is today

The Academic Planning Committee will hold a hearing on proposed budget reductions at 2 p.m., today in the Nebraska Union Regency Room. The hearing agenda will cover the $5 million in budget reductions announced April 14 by Chancellor Harvey Perlman.

The tasks of the APC are to monitor the process and to review the chancellor’s proposed cuts in light of their probable impact on the university’s academic mission and recommend them or suggest other ways of meeting the budget reduction goal.
