The opening reception for "Decisive Line: Drawings by Dan Howard" is 5 to 7 p.m., June 3 in the Sheldon Museum of Art. A question and answer session with Howard, emeritus professor of art, and Sharon Kennedy, curator of cultural and civic engagement for the Sheldon, begins at 5:30 p.m. Both events are free and open to the public.

For more than 50 years, Howard has been painting large, expressive canvases. To recognize his career and celebrate his 80th birthday, Sheldon is presenting “Decisive Line: Drawings by Dan Howard.” The exhibit showcases Howard’s works in oil, charcoal, graphite, pen and ink.
