Showing Thursday, July 28: WHAT A WAY TO GO! (1964; 111 minutes)
Shirley MacLaine stars as Louisa, a widow worth $200 million, who is convinced her fortune is cursed. A trip to a psychiatrist reveals a past of unfortunate marriages to diverse men — including a rich playboy (Dean Martin) and an expatriate artist (Paul Newman) — that supports her theory that money kills. This lavish, big budget comedy features several amusing film parodies and the final screen appearance of comic actress Margaret Dumont. Also starring Robert Mitchum, Gene Kelly, Bob Cummings, and Dick Van Dyke.
