Met Opera broadcast of 'Don Giovanni’ is Oct. 29, 30

The Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center will host a live broadcast of Mozart's "Don Giovanni" at 11:55 a.m., Oct. 29. An encore performance is at 1 p.m., Oct. 30. The performance is part of "The Met: Live in HD" series of live broadcasts from New York City's Metropolitan Opera House.

Mariusz Kwiecien brings his youthful and sensual interpretation of Mozart’s timeless anti-hero to the Met for the first time, under the direction of Tony Award-winning director Michael Grandage and with Fabio Luisi conducting. Also starring Marina Rebeka, Barbara Frittoli, Ramón Vargas, and Luca Pisaroni.

The opera's expected running time is four hours.

Tickets are $23 general admission, $21 senior citizens, $16 for Ross members, students and children, and $5 for UNL students (with valid NCard).
