Tet Festival Celebration Jan. 27 at Sheldon

The Sheldon Museum of Art will host a Tet Festival, 5 to 8 p.m., Jan. 27.

A Tet Festival Celebration will be held at the Sheldon Museum of Art, 5 to 8 p.m., Jan. 27. The celebration is organized by the Sheldon and Lincoln’s Asian Community and Cultural Center.

The event includes traditional crafts, dance, food, games and music. The Linh Quang Temple Lion Dance Troupe and Karen Children’s Dance Group are among the featured performers for the evening. Dau Nguyen, president of the Vietnamese Community of Lincoln, will speak on the significance of the celebration and its traditions. The documentary film, “The Journey of Vaan Nguyen,” will be screened at 6:30 p.m. in Sheldon’s Ethel S. Abbott Auditorium.

Free shuttle transportation is available between the Asian Community and Cultural Center, 2635 O St., Suite A, and Sheldon from 4:30 to 8 p.m.

The museum and festival are free and open to the public.
