Did you know that donors at high schools and colleges give 20 percent of the U.S. blood supply? That’s a lot of lifesaving! Start the semester off with a good deed – make your appointment to give blood with the Red Cross on campus in January.

Nebraska's Campus Red Cross Club will host a winter blood drive from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 21-23 at the City Campus Union Centennial Room.

The need for blood is at a high right now.

Those interested in donating blood are encouraged to register at the Red Cross website using the code UNLSavesLives. Walk-in donors are also welcome. To give blood, a person must be 16 years or older, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health. Donors receive a tshirt.
