Hello! I’m Danielle Peterson and I’m the new Education Specialist for the Educational Talent Search team! I am thrilled to be part of the amazing TRIO program, and I will be working with Seniors & Non-Target students.
I was born and raised outside of Chicago & played soccer at the University of Wyoming. I was a middle school social studies teacher for 21 years in Cheyenne, Wyoming before moving to Lincoln. I love working with young people and believe that everyone deserves a chance to pursue higher education. Supporting students and helping them reach their goals has been the focus of my career, and I’m excited to continue that work through TRIO.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Ben, our 15-year-old twin daughters, and our dog, Manny. I love sports, coffee, hiking, being outdoors, and relaxing with a good book or movie.
