The next ITS Security Special Interest Group (SIG) will be held Tuesday, August 11 at 1:00 p.m. in the Nebraska Union. The Security SIG is for individuals interested in discussing issues and projects with UNL's Information Security team. The meetings are designed to help keep UNL departments aware of security issues being addressed through technology, best practices, and education. The topics are technical in nature, but the meeting is open to all faculty and staff.

The month's meeting will cover:
· ITS Standards (and server 2003 end of life status)
· Grouper – a discussion on how this will be/can be utilized
· PHISHing and other security incidents report
· SHA1 SSL certificates – and disabling SSLv2, v3 and going to TLS 1.2
· Cyber Security Awareness month plans
· Q & A
