Title of Presentation: Thermochromatic Functionalization of Asphalt Mixtures for Mitigating Urban Heat Islands Effects.
The presentation will outline the main research and cultural developments achieved during Ms. Ribas research stay as a visiting scholar at UNL under the supervision of Dr. Jamilla Teixeira, including material synthesis, laboratory characterization, and initial findings on the performance of thermochromic coatings in asphalt applications. It will also highlight the potential of this technology in addressing urban heat islands and discuss future research directions within this collaboration. Finally, it covers Ms. Ribas's involvement with the UNL and the huskers community.
