To accommodate the new generation of transportation vehicles, Parking and Transit Services has added campus electric vehicle charging stations. Funding to install the stations was provided through grants from Nebraska Department of Environmental Energy and Lincoln Electric System.

On City Campus, four charging stations are located on 14th Street in parking spots west of Howard L. Hawks Hall. On East Campus, two charging stations are available north of the Union.

The charging stations are powered by EV Connect. The EV Connect app lets drivers find electric vehicle charging stations based on location, station ID, availability, power level provided, and accessibility.

Start charge sessions by scanning QR codes or entering the desired station ID in the app.

The EV Connect phone links are:
• Android - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.evconnect.ionic
• Apple - https://apps.apple.com/us/app/ev-connect/id1197712470

EV Connect allows users to monitor charge sessions in real time, get phone notifications when the EV charge is complete, and make secure payments.

Campus stations are available 24 hours a day for use by the campus community and general public.
The cost for a charge is $1.50 an hour. Once charging is complete, the rate increases to $3 an hour.
Vehicles should be moved immediately upon completion of the charging process.
