Campus garage permit access links to the vehicle license plate and your NCard.
This information is provided through parking permit purchase with the License Plate Recognition (LPR) system.
No hang tag is needed.
How the System Works:
• Garage permits are linked to both your license plate and NCard. The LPR system scans your license plate at entry and exit. If your vehicle is registered, the gate will lift automatically.
• Only one vehicle may access campus parking at a time per permit.
• Make sure your vehicle information is up to date in the UNL Parking Portal https://unl.aimsparking.com/
Using the Garage Gates:
• Drive slowly as you approach the gate.
• For the best scan results, stop at the kiosk.
• If your license plate cannot be read or if your vehicle does not have a front license plate, scan your NCard at the kiosk for entry or exit.
Hourly parking is available at the Stadium Drive Garage, 14th & Avery Garage, and 17th & R Garage.
• The parking rate is $1.50 per hour (maximum $10.00 per day).
• Take a ticket at entry and pay by credit or debit card when exiting.
A phone payment option is also now available.
• Scan the QR Code on the ticket.
• Pay with credit, debit, or Apple Pay.
• Watch the video that explains the phone payment process at https://parking.unl.edu/vehicle-management/
If you need assistance, use the intercom at the entry and exit kiosks. Press and hold the intercom button with the phone pictured on it. Hold until Parking staff answer and assist.
