The Study Café and Tutor Lab are open to all W.H. Thompson Scholars Monday through Wednesday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m. on the first floor of Harper Residence Hall. While studying, Scholars can enjoy coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and a variety of snacks. W.H. Thompson Mentors staff the Study Café and are available to provide guidance and support and answer questions Scholars may have.
W.H. Thompson Tutors can also be found in the Study Café. Tutors are available in Accounting, Anthropology, Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Geography, History, Math, Philosophy, Physics, Sociology, Spanish, and Statistics. Support with study skills and time management are also provided by tutors. The Tutor schedule can be found at http://www.unl.edu/wht/tutors. A Writing Center Writing Consultant is available to provide assistance in the Study Café on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 8 to 10 p.m. as well.
Scholars will earn a W.H. Thompson Scholars travel coffee mug once they have studied 40 hours at the Study Café.
