Mueller Planetarium Announces February, March Laser Light Shows

Lincoln, Neb., Feb. 4, 2004 -- Ralph Mueller Planetarium at the University of Nebraska State Museum has announced its schedule of laser light shows for February and March.

The schedule includes Sunday afternoon family shows and laser rock shows on Friday and Saturday nights that are not intended for children. Mueller Planetarium is in Morrill Hall, 14th and U streets on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln City Campus.

Admission for afternoon shows is $6 for adults, $4 for children and college students. Admission for evening rock shows is $5 for adults, $4 for college students with ID. Tickets are sold at the front desk of Morrill Hall.

The schedule of matinee family shows (all beginning at 3:30): Feb. 8 -- "Laser Beatles"; Feb. 15 -- "Women of Pop 4.0," featuring artists such as Pink, Celine Dion, Kelly Clarkson, Norah Jones, Avril Lavigne, Hilary Duff and Beyonce Knowles; Feb. 22 -- "Music of Enya"; Feb. 29 -- Fleetwood Mac; March 7 -- Rod Stewart; March 14 -- "Laser Beatles"; March 21 -- "Women of Pop 4.0"; March 28 -- Music of Enya.

The schedule of evening rock shows (shows at 8 and 9:30 each night, unless otherwise noted): Feb. 6-7 -- selections from "Pink Floyd: The Wall"; Feb. 13-14 -- "Classic Vinyl," a program of the best in classic rock, featuring Led Zeppelin, Moody Blues, Aerosmith, Fleetwood Mac, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Santana and others; Feb. 20-21 -- Metallica; Feb. 27-28 -- Dave Matthews Band; March 5 -- Tori Amos; March 6 -- "An Evening with Rush," 8 p.m. only; March 26-27 -- "Best of Pink Floyd."
