Lincoln, Neb., Feb. 12, 2004 -- The Nebraska Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln will present its 18th annual Heartland Small Business Conference Feb. 26 at the Cornhusker Hotel and Convention Center, 333 S. 13th St., in Lincoln.

Designed for students and businesspeople, the conference offers more than 15 sessions on topics critical to start-up, managing for productivity, and growing your small business. A special session will focus on e-commerce businesses.

Opening keynote speaker Aaron Davis will give audience members simple yet effective tips and strategies that will open doors of opportunity. A former Nebraska football player, Davis is president of Truth Enterprises.

The luncheon keynote speaker will be Paul Hogan, president and co-founder of Home Instead Senior Health Care, which was recently recognized by Entrepreneur magazine as one of the top 100 franchise companies in the world.

The conference runs from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The cost is $20 for students and $39 for non-students. Lunch is provided.
