Cather Circle Meeting to Highlight Women's 'Survival Skills'

Sponsored by the Nebraska Alumni Association, the Cather Circle is a prestigious mentoring program that pairs distinguished alumnae with current female students. The organization meets twice a year to explore women's issues.
Featured speakers include keynoter and local humorist T. Marni Vos on "Using Humor to Cope" and Image Solutions' Becky Rupiper-Green on "Defining the NEW Rules of Dressing for Success." Patti Peterson will examine ethics in the business community in "Martha, Say It Isn't So."
On Saturday, Elliott Elementary School librarian Karla Wendel will join the group at lunch to accept children's books donated to the school by Cather Circle. Lee Booksellers of Lincoln is offering a 20 percent discount to anyone purchasing a book for the cause.
The conference is open to Cather Circle members only. It also includes concurrent sessions on financial planning, health choices and services, successful relocation and quilting.
