10th Annual Undergraduate Research Conference Is April 23

Lincoln, Neb., April 13th, 2004 —

Undergraduates representing the spectrum of majors at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln will participate April 23 in UNL's 10th annual Undergraduate Research Conference.

More than 100 students will present their work at the Nebraska Union, 1400 R St. Oral presentations will begin at 1 p.m. and run until 4:30. A poster session will run from 3:30-5 and will be concurrent with a light reception. At 3, Rita Kean, dean of undergraduate studies, and Prem Paul, vice chancellor for research, will open the poster session with a short plenary address in the Nebraska Union Ballroom.

Participants will represent all eight undergraduate colleges and a wide variety of disciplines, from agricultural economics to architecture, mathematics to music, computer science and engineering to teaching, learning and teacher education.

The conference is an annual event and open to the public. It is sponsored jointly by the Office of Undergraduate Studies (the UCARE and Honors programs).
