Students Elected to UNL Student Government

Lincoln, Neb., April 23rd, 2004 —

Graduate and undergraduate students have been elected to one-year terms in the Association of Students of the University of Nebraska student government in student-body elections last month at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

ASUN includes three executives (president, and first and second vice presidents), the 35-member Senate, whose members are elected by college, the Committee for Fees Allocation, the Student Court, the Appointment Board and other committees.

Katie Weichman of Ainsworth was elected president, succeeding Kyle Arganbright of Valentine. Matt Maher of Omaha was elected first vice president and Zabih Omaid of Brandon, S.D., was elected second vice president.

Following is a list of students elected to ASUN. If available, information includes the student's role in ASUN (committee assignments in parentheses for senators), college or division represented (if applicable), major, year in school in the spring semester 2004 and parents' names.
