UNL Chancellor Perlman To Visit Broken Bow, Lexington, Holdrege

Lincoln, Neb., May 21st, 2004 —

University of Nebraska-Lincoln Chancellor Harvey Perlman will travel to the Broken Bow, Lexington and Holdrege areas May 24-26 for community visits as part of an ongoing effort to meet with community members and explore all parts of the state and hear feedback from the university's "500-mile campus."

Accompanying the chancellor will be Michelle Waite, assistant for community relations; Meg Lauerman, director of University Communications, and Bill Nunez, director of Institutional Research and Planning. In addition to public events, they will visit several varied businesses on their tours.

Perlman's first function will be at the announcement of the Homestead Records project at Broken Bow Rotary, at noon May 24 at Uncle Ed's in Broken Bow, 509 S. Ninth Ave.

On May 25, Perlman will visit with the Holdrege Chamber of Commerce at noon at Holdrege Country Club, 314 W. 18th Ave.

On May 26, he will tour the Lexington/Gothenburg area in the morning and at 11:45 a.m. he will visit Lexington Rotary at Kirk's Restaurant at the Interstate 80 interchange.
