Alumni Board Elects New Officers and Directors

The Nebraska Alumni Association board of directors welcomes a new set of officers and six new members to its ranks July 1.

Jan Connolly, '73, of Lincoln succeeds Bill Dana, '79, of Omaha as president of the board. Connolly is senior vice president of operations, planning and quality for Ameritas. Dana, CEO of the Dana Group LLC, continues on the board as past president. Warren "Nate" Eckloff, '78, '81, managing director of RBC Dain Rauscher in Denver, moves up to first vice president; and Thomas Burnell, '84, '85, CEO/vice chairman of Eurofins Scientific Inc. in Memphis, Tenn., is second vice president. At-large members of the 2004-2005 executive committee are Sara Dillow, '62, Fremont; William Mueller, '77, '80, Lincoln; and John Strope Jr., '67, '78, '79, Lincoln. The new officers will serve two-year terms.

Newly elected to three-year terms on the board of directors are Victoria Benning, '85, Herndon, Va.; William Davis Jr., '77, Tinley Park, Ill.; George Haecker, '63, Omaha; Stewart Price, '85, Louisville, Ky.; Jacqueline Scoular, '02, Sioux Falls, S.D.; and Sarah Johnson, Student Alumni Association representative. Those re-elected to second terms on the board include Susan Busskohl, '85, Norfolk; Adrienne Dickson, '94, and Adrian Fiala, '73, '79, both of Lincoln; Denise Gary Ringenberg, '85, McCook; and Jim Rose, '85, and Sue Saalfeld, '80, both of Omaha.

The following alumni have retired from the board: Past President Bill Etmund, '77, '85, Lincoln; Karen Blessen, '73, Dallas; James "Terry" Healey, '57, Gothenburg; Robert Kuzelka, '62, Lincoln; Jeffrey Lewis, '90, '92, Lincoln; Sandy Massey, '83, '86, Boise, Idaho; Sheila O'Connor, '87, Lincoln; Jacquelynn Sorensen, '52, '76, '84, Lincoln; Paul Swanson, '58, Redlands, Calif.; Judy Terwilliger, '95, '98, Lincoln; Carrie Tolstedt, '82, San Francisco; and Dan England, student representative.
