Quilt Events Include Free Talk, Book Display, Quilt Identification Day

Carolyn Ducey, curator of UNL's International Quilt Study Center, will give a free public talk on quilts at 7 p.m. July 8 at second floor Love Library north, 13th and R streets.
Through July 30 at Love Library, University Libraries is exhibiting books from the various quilt collections housed in C.Y. Thompson Library and the University Archives and Special Collections, including items from the American Quilt Studies Group Research Library containing almost 4,000 books. The display is free and open to the public.
The International Quilt Study Center presents the second annual Quilt Identification Day 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. July 10 in room 220, Home Economics Building on UNL's East Campus. Individuals may bring family quilts (limited to two per person) to the Quilt Study Center for identification and documentation at no charge. Please pre-register by calling (402) 472-6549.
