6 to Receive Military Commissions in Aug. 14 Ceremonies

Six University of Nebraska-Lincoln students who have participated in the Reserve Officer Training Corps at UNL are scheduled to receive commissions in the U.S. Army, Navy or Air Force on Aug. 14.
Following UNL commencement exercises, there will be separate commissioning ceremonies for the Army, Navy and Air Force. The Army ceremony will be at 2 p.m. in the Regency B Room of the Nebraska Union, 1400 R St.; the Navy ceremony will be at 3 p.m. in the Midshipmen's Library in the Military and Naval Science Building, 14th and Vine streets; and the Air Force ceremony will be at 5:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Nebraska Union.
Following is a list of candidates by hometown, with their service branch and the rank at which they will be commissioned.
Bellevue: Earl F. Arnold II, Air Force, second lieutenant.
Cook: Bret William Wellensiek, Army, second lieutenant.
Lincoln: Jeremiah Adem Afuh II, Army, second lieutenant.
McCook: Douglas Cameron Grafel, Air Force, second lieutenant.
Omaha: Sean Patrick White, Navy, ensign.
Papillion: Jonisa Adia McGlown, Air Force, second lieutenant.
