800 to Receive Degrees at Aug. 14 Commencement Exercises

Lincoln, Neb., August 13th, 2004 —

Approximately 800 students are scheduled to receive degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in commencement exercises beginning at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 14 at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.

Chancellor Harvey Perlman will preside at the ceremonies. Barbara Plake, W.C. Meierhenry university professor of educational psychology in the College of Education and Human Sciences and director of the Oscar and Luella Buros Center for Testing at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, will give the address.

The graduates hail from 35 states, the District of Columbia and 39 countries.

A list of graduates is available through the link below. Information includes the graduate's name, college, degree and any applicable honors (degree with distinction, high distinction, highest distinction). Some graduates will receive degrees in programs offered on the UNL campus by the University of Nebraska Medical Center and the University of Nebraska at Omaha. They are designated by UNMC or UNO in parentheses. UNO's honors terminology is cum laude, magna cum laude and summa cum laude.
