A group of 40 Pepsi Service Scholars from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln will participate in a 12-hour service marathon 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 30. The event consists of 12 one-hour blocks of service at agencies throughout the Lincoln community.

The Pepsi Service Scholars is a group of 40 UNL freshmen chosen based on their past commitment to service. Pepsi Scholars promote social change by becoming trustees of the UNL campus and Lincoln community through volunteer service and service-learning. The group has been planning this event during their weekly leadership and service learning class in conjunction with UNL's Office of Student Involvement.
