UNL Symphony Orchestra to perform Haydn, Williams Oct. 8

Lincoln, Neb., October 1st, 2004 —

The School of Music at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln will present the UNL Symphony Orchestra at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 8 in Kimball Recital Hall, 11th and R streets (extended) on the UNL City Campus.

The orchestra will perform Symphony No. 104 in D major, "London," Hob. I/104 (1795) by Joseph Haydn, and "A London Symphony: Symphony No. 2" (1912-13, rev. 1914-20) by Ralph Vaughan Williams. Tyler Goodrich White conducts the orchestra, which is celebrating its 120th anniversary season.

Tickets for this performance will be $5 general admission and $3 students and senior citizens, and are available at the door.
