NU Alumni to host annual homecoming party Oct. 29

Lincoln, Neb., October 25th, 2004 —

Free food, trick or treating and a live hookup with U.S. troops in Iraq are all on tap for homecoming when the Nebraska Alumni Association hosts its 12th annual "Come On Home" celebration from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Nebraska Champions Club, 707 Stadium Drive.

A special feature of this year's event is a 7 p.m. telephone conversation with NU alumni serving with the 1st Infantry Division in Iraq. The homecoming party also features free pizza and pop, a live performance by the Scarlet and Cream Singers, tours of campus homecoming displays on Molley the Trolley, and trick or treating for children 12 and under. Other activities include the Lincoln Fire Department's Kid ID program, online voting for Homecoming lawn displays and an appearance by the homecoming royalty court.
