Omahans Clatterbuck, Mauler crowned homecoming king & queen

Nicholas Clatterbuck and Valerie Mauler, both seniors from Omaha, were crowned king and queen of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's homecoming Oct. 30 in a ceremony at halftime of the Nebraska-Missouri football game at Memorial Stadium.
Clatterbuck and Mauler were among 20 candidates for king and queen and were elected in an Oct. 28 vote of the UNL student body.
An economics major with a minor in English, Clatterbuck carries a 3.9 grade-point average (on a 4-point scale). He was the winner of Pieter Kiewit, Regents and Nebraska Top Scholar scholarships. He is a member of the Innocents Society, the Order of Omega and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Clatterbuck is also a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and the campus chapter of the Navigators, and volunteers with New Student Enrollment. He is the son of Gary and Debi Clatterbuck.
Mauler is a marketing major with minors in economics and English, and carries a 3.85 grade-point average. She is a member of Innocents, the University Honors Program and Beta Gamma Sigma business honor society. She is also a member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority, the Student Alumni Association and the College of Business Administration student advisory board, and volunteers with St. Patrick's Community Church. Mauler is the daughter of Duane and Barbara Mauler.
