11 ROTC students to receive military commissions

Eleven University of Nebraska-Lincoln students in the Reserve Officer Training Corps will receive military commissions at ceremonies this weekend.
A joint commissioning ceremony involving the Army, Navy and Air Force will begin at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 18 in the auditorium of the Nebraska Union, 1400 R St. The three service branches will also conduct separate commissioning ceremonies. The Air Force ceremony will be at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 17 in the Union auditorium. The Army and Navy ceremonies will begin immediately following the Dec. 18 joint ceremony, the Army's in the Heritage Room of the Union, the Navy's in the Military and Naval Science Building, 14th and Vine streets.
Following is a list of students by hometown who will receive commissions as second lieutenants in the Army or Air Force or ensigns in the Navy.
NEBRASKA
Elkhorn: Rebecca May Mockelman (Army), Justin Robert Petersen (Air Force).
Lincoln: Michael Daniel Eckel (Air Force), Lisa Renae Paul (Air Force), Isaac Bennett Weddington (Navy).
Omaha: Bradley Justin Lane (Air Force).
Papillion: Jennifer Ann Janeczko (Air Force).
ELSEWHERE
Brookings, S.D.: Jason Michael Adelaine (Army).
Fort Collins, Colo.: Patrick Taylor Shanahan (Air Force).
Hot Springs, S.D.: Darci Leigh Day (Air Force).
Paonia, Colo.: Bryson Stephen Ayers (Air Force).
