January seminars to focus on needs of managers

Lincoln, Neb., December 16th, 2004 —

To succeed in the rapidly changing business environment managers and supervisors need to continuously update and enhance their knowledge and skills. Management Development Certificate Program seminars from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Department of Management offer training in a variety of areas critical to business today.

In these interactive seminars, the instructors bring cutting-edge theory to life and provide practical applications participants can put to work immediately. Topics and dates for the January seminars are:

* Strategic Decision-Making, Jan. 5 (register by Dec. 23)

* Organizational Communication, Jan. 12 (register by Jan. 5)

* Effective Managerial Communication, Jan. 19 (register by Jan. 12)

* Capturing Your Market Potential, Jan. 26 (register by Jan. 19)

All seminars are held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Mahoney State Park, Interstate 80 Exit 426.

All seminars can count toward completion of a UNL Business Seminars Management Development Certificate. For information on the three levels of certificates offered, telephone the Business Seminars Program or visit its Web site. Participation in the certificate program is not a requirement to attend the seminars.
